Hey Dave, I’m Will, I’m one of the lucky droogs that came to Backstage studios with the MegaFanClub recently. My question is: you mentioned in a few interviews that you wrote two albums’ worth of material when you were intending on going solo, so how many of the songs on United Abominations were written with the songs on The System Has Failed? All the songs you played us that day in the studio ruled, and I can’t wait for May!

As many of you may know, a few years ago I bought my first horse; a Friesian named Cassandra. You may also remember the trauma I went through when she foaled her still born colt, which in the end killed her too. And not that this doesn’t happen - it does - it’s just that this was my first horse, and this isn’t normal for first-time horse owners to lose both foal and mare the first time.

Megadeth are GameTap’s “Artist of the Month”, and as part of this have posted an exclusive video of Megadeth warming up and “goofing around” before a show online.

Europe, here we come!!!!!!
I am really looking forward to this tour of Europe, as we have not played in certain areas since 2005 (Ireland, Scotland, etc.) as well as the festival circuit - needless to say, this is going to be a fun trip.

If things go according to plan, I “MAY” be debuting a new “toy” onstage at a certain huge U.K. festival. At this point there is a 50/50% chance due to time issue’s, but if it does work out, you will love it!!!!!!

I just received and read all of the debut chart positions around the world and I am chuffed! This is super-awesome or as my Brazilian Droogs like to say, “awesome-broso!” (or something like that.)

It looks like the relatively short world tour is going to be a little longer than we thought, and it looks like a lot of cities that we have never been to, missed for some time, or just recently passed over will be added to our current list of stop-n-mosh visits!

We just got back recently from the Heaven and Hell tour and are celebrating our new release United Abominations. It will be just over a week until we fly overseas to celebrate with you in Europe and the UK.

I can’t tell you how excited we are with the new record and your reaction to it. We are seeing tremendous interest around the world and can’t wait to play the new songs for you.

“United Abominations” has debuted at number 23 on the UK’s top album chart, making it Megadeth’s most chart successful album in the UK since 1994’s Youthanasia, which peaked at number 6.

This beats Megadeth’s last album, “The System Has Failed” by 37 places (The System Has Failed debuited at number 60).

In other news, Megadeth have broke into Amazon.ca’s top 10 bestsellers. The album peaked at number 5 on the bestsellers list, and now currently sits at number 8. See the top sellers here.
