An interview with Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine can be seen at midnight on this Friday’s Official VH1 Rock Chart (repeated at 1am Sunday). The show also includes videos from AC/DC, Funeral For A Friend, Metallica, Wednesday 13 and Reading headliners the Smashing Pumpkins.

Australia’s “Full Metal Racket” radio show, which airs Tueday nights at 10:00 p.m. on Triple J, has premiered two more tracks from the forthcoming MEGADETH album, “United Abominations”. Check out the songs “Never Walk Alone” and “Play for Blood” in streaming audio at this location (”Never Walk Alone” starts at the one-hour, nine-minute mark; “Play for Blood” can be heard at the two-hour, 56-minute mark).

In other news, Megadeth.com has posted the following news stories, about Megadeth appearing on “Rockline Radio” in May, and Dave and Glen appearing in Guitar One magazine this month.

Megadeth Record MusiquePlus Set, Schedule Return to Israel!

Megadeth recorded 4 songs at Canada’s MusiquePlus studios yesterday, which will air on May 15th. The following was Megadeth.com’s post about the event yesterday.

Megadeth will be performing the following four songs today on Canada’s French music station, MusiquePlus: “Sleepwalker”, “Gears of War”, “Washington Is Next”, and “A Tout Le Monde”. Megadeth will be featured as the artist of the month at MusiquePlus leading up to the show that will air the performance on the release date of the United Abominations album, May 15th.

Also, Megadeth have scheduled their return to Israel following their set being cut short in 2005. Here is what Megadeth.com have posted regarding the event.

Megadeth Confirmed For UK’s Download Festival

Megadeth have just been confirmed to plan Donington Park as part of this year’s Download festival. A quote from the official Download website is below.

Megadeth’s main man Dave Mustaine said “The last time that Slash and I played on this stage on the same day was 1988 at Castle Donington, back when it was called Monsters of Rock. So, besides Download being one of the most prestigious festivals in Heavy Metal history to play on, I’m looking forward to seeing if Slash will join me to play something like “Night Train” or “Mr. Brownstone” for old time’s sake.
