It seems from several sources that ESP Guitars and Dave Mustaine have parted ways.
Currently this has not been officially confirmed by ESP or Megadeth, but according to an ESP dealer on the Megadeth forums, they have been instructed to sell the last of the DV and Axxion lines of guitars. Some have speculated a return for Dave Mustaine to Jackson Guitars. “Rayna” of the Megadeth forums posts the following:
“The [Dave Mustaine Jackson return] is rumor, and nobody really knows anything other than ESP and Dave have parted ways, contrary to what everyone seems to think they know. There is the chance that maybe he’ll stay and take the deal with fewer free guitars. It’s an equal chance that he will go elsewhere”

As for myself, I have done a few solo pieces, which i am very happy with.

Yes, it has been a while, so lets get right to it, shall we??
I am heading off to California this weekend to join the “others” in the studio, and the finishings of the new Megadeth record - Glen is allready there as I write this, and from what he has expressed to me, things are progessing in a natural and timely fashion as well as the overall vibe being positive - something I plan on chiming in on myself upon arrival. Futhermore, I am looking forward to working with Andy Sneap - I am of course very familiar with his past work, so this should prove to be a cool experience.
MTV.com has finally uploaded the “Gears of War Demo” that was Roadrunner reported would be available on Saturday. You can download it at this loaction (registration required).

This was a mix made by Andy Sneap to apply for the job as mixer on this record and I was so impressed I wanted him to help me finish up the last parts as well as cutting two new songs we hadn’t planned on releasing. [It was] a great start to one of my favorite records to have ever made so far. If the process of writing and tracking, and the energy we felt in the studios is any indication, then this is just the beginning of the rebuilding of the perfect beast! ‘Gears of War!’ I love my job. Ooh-rah!

The video is schedueled to premier on MTV2’s Headbangers Ball tonight (airs at 10pm EST), which Dave Mustaine is presenting. The show will be a “Gears of War” special, in which the focus will be on the recently released XBox 360 Game, “Gears of War” that inspired aspects of the song, and that sponsored this year’s Gigantour.
Megadeth were recently featured in an MTV documentary for the recent release of the XBox 360 game, “Gears of War”.
Megadeth performed their song “Gears of War” (from the upcoming “United Abominations” album) at a release party for the game, at which MTV were filming.
Dave Mustaine will host this weekend’s “Headbangers Ball” dedicated to “Gears of War” (the game) on MTV2, on which viewers will get to see an exclusive video of the “Gears of War” (song) performance.
According to Xbox.com you can play against Dave Mustaine on the newly released, “Gears of War” game through XBox live at 3 P.M. Pacific / 6 P.M. Eastern. Dave’s gamer tag will be GWFMegadeth
This is the latest in a chain of events connecting Megadeth with the “Gears of War” release for the XBox 360. The game sponsored the recent Gigantour 2006 tour, organised by Dave Mustaine. Megadeth have written a song, “Gears of War” for the upcoming “United Abominations” album (set to be in stores March 2007), and they performed the song at a recent “Gears of War” party at the 6 Flags.
