Working with Jeff Balding and Dave was great and the whole experience was so much fun and very productive.
Shawn was there for the sessions as well, which was very good for me, as i like to bounce solo ideas off of him along the way.
This is something we have been doing for many years.
James was also there for a few sessions, which was also very cool!

Shawn Drover has flown to California to lend his moral support to his brother Glen, and Dave Mustaine whilst recording the solos on the upcoming Megadeth album. He has posted the following message on the Megadeth forums regarding this:
engulfed in guitar solos
So I arrived in California yesterday to basically have a listen to the recording and perhaps to lend a bit of moral support and all of that good stuff. As I write this, Glen is in the control room laying down his 3rd solo of the day - he dinged off 5 yesterday, with Dave throwing down a few himself. Yesterday was an extremely productive and inspiring day, certainly from my perspective, allthough I believe the others would agree. The record is really starting to take shape, and I cant wait for all of you to hear it upon its release
