EXCLUSIVE - New MEGADETH Album “Consists Of 12 Songs”

MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine spoke EXCLUSIVELY to BW&BK recently regarding the band’s as-yet-untitled new album, due out through Roadrunner later this year. They recently returned from SARM Recording Studios just outside of London, England. Mustaine is working co-producer Jeff Balding, who helmed 2004’s The System Has Failed. Mustaine gives us a quick snapshot of the recording:

Ok, so now its finally been announced that the Gigantour DVD will be released on September 5th - The next in line within the slew of cool things being released in the not so distant future - With the new Megadeth record currently being worked on, the upcoming Argentina live DVD/c.d., and this Gigantour DVD coming out, lets just say you are certainly going to get MEGA-DOSE of cool stuff coming your way ( sorry, I had to say the Mega-dose part - hehe ) At this time I am enjoying the sunshine and basically just chilling out, as I know this is the calm before the storm - I look forword to the next storm - That storm is called “G2″!!!!!!!!!

Hope your all well out there.
As far as myself, I have been working hard on getting myself in shape for the upcoming solo fest on the new album. Things are going very well!
Dave is now recording his rythm guitar tracks in LA, so it should be a few more weeks before I start my process.
Lots of very cool things going on now to say the least and looking foward to seeing you all on tour soon!!!!!

Revered as one of the “big four” in American thrash metal along with Anthrax, Metallica and Slayer, Megadeth has sustained its razor sharp edge since its inception some 24 years ago. Despite many changes in personnel and the band’s innumerable setbacks, Megadeth is alive and well, staying true to its founding father, singer, and guitarist extraordinaire Dave Mustaine’s uncompromising musical vision.

So now it is official, we have signed with Roadrunner Records, which for me personally is something that I am very happy about!! These guys specialize in Metal bands, and have done so for over 25 years now, so with that said I believe this will be a long and solid relationship between Megadeth and Roadrunner.

The new record continues to be created and taking shape very nicely. All of us are inspired and are in a very positive/focused mind-frame, which is certainly being heard on these tracks. Good stuff, folks…………………
