Shawn Drover checks in after European tour

Email This Story To A Friend

Shawn Drover has posted the following message on the Megadeth forums, about the just completed tour, and the upcoming Gigantour.

Normalcy and lost luggage
Being the eternal optimist that I am, this post will contain “mostly” postive viewpoint’s from my perspective of this just completed European leg of the Blackmail the universe tour.

First off, the crowd’s were great at every shows, regardless of capacity ( ranging from a small, yet very enjoyable Iceland show of perhap’s 500 happy people, to an estimated 80,000 of our closest friend’s at England’s “Download Festival” ) each night provided great crowd’s, so I am thankful for that.

Dave Mustaine offers his perspective on the Israel cancellation

Email This Story To A Friend

Dave Mustaine has posted the following message on his Dave Speaks board, on the Megadeth forums, concerning the recent cutting short of the Israel concert, due to the barricade not being able to stand the pressure of a Megadeth gig.

Here is the post:

Israel Concert
Droogies!

What happened from my point of view, and I was center stage, was we started playing Blackmail The Universe and after that song was about half way through, the barricade broke and kids fell on top of each other. Security tried to get them stood back up, the barricade got stood back up, they brought in logs and more barricades to reinforce it. And the police said it wasn’t good enough.
