Dave Mustaine has posted the following message on his Dave Speaks section of the Megadeth forums, about the upcoming summer tour.
T - <48 hours
Droogies!
Well, last night my plane tickets came for the trip to Holland and after locating my passport, I dragged my suitcase upstairs to start the inevitable and uneviable task of packing for the trip, and testing my failing memory
I have to count how many days we are going to be gone and factor that against my nutrient regimen that I take to avoid TB, Blacklung, and the plague while touring. Half my luggage is all vitamins and books, and since I have started Gigantour, now there is no way that I can avoid taking a laptop again.

The passage is below:
05/27: FILIMING STARTS FOR GIGANTOUR DOCUMNETARY DVD
Mustaine and director, Michael Sarna (Mice And Men video) were together today filming for the GIGANTOUR documentary DVD. Mustaine says: “…just more preliminary stuff like when we confirmed some of the other bands, and phone calls, etc. Also interview footage of why I am undertaking this insanity”. The documentary will include everything from behind the “metal curtain” of Mustaine’s office, working on the last details of the tour, to pre-production, to rehearsals and the bands all meeting up in Fresno, California, to taking the mighty festival on the road. Songs from the various bands on the tour, soundchecks, and other various stuff will be included in the DVD.

Next confirmed band!
Friends!
It is my privilege to welcome Life Of Agony to Stage 2 of Gigantour.
Some of you may remember when Megs toured with LOA back when Whitfield Crane was subbing for the estranged original singer, but they have reformed, have a new disc coming, and I have a friendship with the boys, and I think will be great to have them around.

Droogies!
I was cruising the Gigantour site and noticed how many of the other bands fans are there. This is going to be very kewl because I believe you will meet and make new friends or get some good sparring in. I personally hope the former.

James MacDonough, our current Megadeth bassist, and former Iced Earth bassist, posted the following message in his “Deep End” section of the Megadeth forums:
Answers about Iced Earth for Gigantour
Dave asked me to call Jon Schaffer of I.E. about possibly doing the tour.
Jon said, due to the fact of new additions to both his and Tim’s family, plus writing the new album that he’s not interested in doing it.
I thought this would of been a great addition to the line up, maybe next year. James

Dave Mustaine has posted the following message on the Megadeth and Gigantour forums about nearing his final decision, as to who will share the second stage at Gigantour with, Symphony X, Dry Kill Logic and Bobaflex.
The post reads:
Last choice?
Droogies!
I am nearing the end of the selection of my guests to entertain y’all this summer on the Second Stage.
As far as I see it, the choices are down to just a few and the most likely to succeed are Life Of Agony or Mushroomhead. There are some other contenders still but if the decision came down today, the aforementioned two are probably the finalists.
